The History of Mount Zion Prayer Ministries Int’l Church
Mount Zion Prayer Ministries Int’l Church begin in West Africa, Ghana as a prayer band in 2002 where the Lord spoke to the general overseer Prophetess Jolley Demaih and gave her the name together with the scripture (Obadiah 1:17) and the mission to carry out His work. The work of God started with Prayers, Prophesy, Deliverance and Healings in Buduburam refugee camp where the Apostle and the Prophetess met our resident Pastor (Pastor Spencer Suku). In the middle of many testimonies through the power of God, Mr. Aaron Demaih who is now the Apostle and founder of the Ministry migrated with his family in the United States in 2006. As the grace of God may have it, Pastor Suku and his family also migrated to the United States, and the servants of God were again connected to continue the good work of God. Upon arriving in the United States (Arizona), the mission of God continues in the family home; the family was joined by friends and other members who are presently with us.
In June 2012,Mount Zion officially became registered with the state of Arizona as a ministry and was no longer a prayer band. In 2013Mount Zion began a church as it expanded from the house into anEpiphyte .Mount Zion was no longer limited to Prophetess Jolley, families, and friends, but now consisted of a group of diverse ethnicities coming together to worship the Lord. At this point, the ministry had grown into a complete church, elevating into a larger, and proper congregation.
Prophetess Jolley Demaih who is the CEO, the vision carrier and Apostle Aaron Demaih together founded Mount Zion for the spiritual benefit of the people through the power of God. Though the church started with only 25 members in 2013, consisting of mostly families and friends. However, by the end of 2014, it has more than doubled its membership; praise be to the Lord who has called the Leaders at Mount Zion to do his work devotedly. During this period, many have testified to the goodness and wonders of God through the work of our true men and woman of God, among which; the blind was able to see, the cripples walked and even the sick were healed. As we continue to witness the wonders of God move in many directions, by the end of 2016 the membership once again doubled from 55 to 100. In the same year, Mount Zion took another step to expand and spread the word of God by opening it first branch in Des Moines, Iowa.
From 2017 to present, Mount Zion Prayer Ministries Int’l Church have taken a huge step in developing her membership and spiritual growth. The church currently consists of approximately 250 members and have developed spiritually in different areas of various departments, this include prayer warriors and every other departments necessary for the growth of the church.
In 2018, God again deed the unthinkable, the unachievable, the impossible. By His power and grace, the dedicated and tireless effort of the Apostle, the Prophetess, the resident Pastor and the entire church leadership together with the devoted servants and members of the congregation, Mount Zion was able to secure its own building. The process of getting here was not easy, as the church took on the journey of acquiring its own building, the devil was not sleeping. We had a lot of obstacles, denials, rejections but with God we were able to overcome. Today we are grateful and thankful to God for blessing us with our own building, a place to worship and serve Him. Mount Zion is called a church today because of the collective and devoted effort of our leaders, you the congregation, and most importantly God who makes all the impossible possible. We are humble to tell you that Mount Zion Prayer Ministries International is a non-denominational house of worship with a (501c3) status. As we continue to fulfil the mission and vision “to wake up the people and communities that are lost and dying due to lack of the word of God; leading them to become Holy followers of Jesus Christ to possess their possessions through deliverance- Obadiah 1:17”; we ask that you join us in prayers and together we can carryout the work of the Lord. We want to acknowledge and recognize our mentors, donors and friends of Mount Zion for their continued support.
